The Doherty brothers’ The Villa Podcast is the best by far.

Connell and yer man who rips the piss out of everything, Villa included? Very funny but like yer mates, after a while you're careful what you say in their company and them showing their love by slagging you off all the time but also criticising everything else also makes you feel gaslit as you question how they really feel about you which triggers memories of other toxic relationships IRL. For that reason, I'm out.

But yeah, it's good.

Updated images, looks like top tier is bigger.

Not a fan of that new design. Looks a bit cheap if I’m honest. We should be looking at something iconic for the new North Stand.

Aye, it's very make do and mend.

Strong Ellisian vibes.

Looks like the North Stand. Suggests the whole of the lower tier will be rebuilt.

It's no wonder we're struggling to keep up with what exactly we are doing!

I know not everyone’s a fan, but I like the north stand extension. It keeps the vibe of the current North Stand, looks imo nicer than the Purslow design in most regards (the only thing I don’t like as much is the stairs, which on the Purslow design were red brick) and will cost a fraction of the price so won’t add a load of GA+ seats that are definitely unaffordable as far as I’m concerned.

Still time the warehouse will be great, much prefer it to the Purslow drain that didn’t seem in keeping with the style of the ground or offer much in terms of getting it in use outside of match days.

^^ I’m a fan too, because I’m a fan of doing everything we can, as quickly as we can.

In terms of increasing revenue, we can’t afford to fuck about.

The renders posted above look great - it's really growing on me. I think that will look very smart and add the right amount of seats. I thought it looked a bit cramped in the original renders. But this is looking near on perfect and looks more of a nod to the Holte too - I love a proper goalpost roof!

It looks like most of the new structure is exposed.  It’s critical they get that right.  The columns need to have architectural merit too, not just painted steel members or concrete.  Richard Rogers made a career from designing like that so there’s precedents for making it work.

Is there a side-by-side of the two renders?  looks pretty much the same to me.
