I like the design, fits in with the other stands better. Takes capacity back up to where we were 40yrs ago...

Gets us to about 49k. It's disappointing but if it can be done quickly it would probably cost a lot less. But underneath it is still 50 year old cramped accommodation. It's rather underwhelming.

If they're losing a row of boxes then you'd imagine seat prices will be high to cover that.

I’m told boxes are less popular nowadays as you need a table of ten (or whatever) so it’s harder to sell. My guess is plenty of more flexible GA+, potentially using space in the car-park for marquees etc.

Anything under 50k is small-time.

No doubt its budget compared to Purslows plans, but it ticks the minimum requirements.

It what i've predicted ever since cladding removed from the pillars and is consistent with what they first said they were doing in 2023.

Anything under 50k is small-time.

I think they will be looking to find a 1000 or so seats elsewhere around the ground.

Shame they can't do something similar with the Holte and take it over the Trinity Road.

I’d love to see the Holte cut into the road and even up that angle. The Holte would look even more awesome then.

If those plans are accurate it looks like it includes re-profiling the lower Trinity, which I think was being looked at before. Between the two it should take capacity just over 50k.

Same here, assuming it's done properly.

I guess the government will have to dip into the coffers for infrastructure changes to accommodate an extra 30,000 day trippers that will need to be ferried about safely and quickly. Meanwhile we'll still be queuing up on the pavement outside Aston station.

Sounds something Paul Weller could get his teeth into and write a song of indignation. He's not a Surrey Red, is he?

Chelsea. But there’s a bit from a video where a bloke in the street shouts at him ‘alright Paul! John Terry was talking about you today’.

Weller: who?

Bloke: John Terry!

Weller (after a couple of seconds looking puzzled): tell him I’ll see him later.

Also, on the second drawing it looks like some extra seating going in the corner of the upper Trinity too

We should be aiming 60,001 capacity.
