Even Weller thought the Quo were boss live.

They were rubbish on Top of The Pops. From what I could work out every few months they released the same tune with different words and the double denim and acne brigade loved it.

I just dreamt I'd just read a page of comments where normally sane posters kept going on about Status Quo being good. It was weird.

That's the beauty of this forum, you're free to discuss whatever you want.

You're the second person to say that, BV. Have I recently had a rant about free speech that I can't remember or am I missing a Quo pun?

I've seen them three times. At some Radio 1 Party in the Park in Sutton Park I think along with Aswad, The Farm and Del Amitri (DA were surprisingly good). Then on some Rock til you Drop thing where they played 4 gigs in one day or summat and the Frantic Four at Wolvo with the original line up. They were great every time.

Asking you about music is like asking Legion about gambling.

Sorry, was scanning the thread and missed the previous comment. My apologies to Clampy for repeating his Quo pun.

Spot on.

Did Weller ever do a cover version of any Quo songs? His best work was mainly somebody else's.

Or take the MK Don's route and rename themselves the Finsbury Park Arses

Apologies that was meant to have a quote from December about Arsenal moving back to Woolwich on it.

Quo were a very enjoyable guitar band between 1973 and the end of the decade. I was too close to the speakers at a gig in Birmingham in around 78 and I was deaf for a week. They changed their style in the 80s and became more chart friendly pop orientated and I no longer took them seriously.
