Will we be the only club in England with our own indoor music/events centre?
There are some other decent venues knocking about round there if this proves successful and indicative of still more demand. The old transport museum over the road, it’s called The Majestic now and is used as a function room/wedding venue. The Aston Hotel is a lovely looking boozer from the outside, but from memory is not that roomy. Is the Rat Pan still standing? I haven’t been round that side of the ground for years.
Their owners own the new Co-op live one that had since teething issues but that's 20k ish capacity I think.

I haven’t been round that side of the ground for years. The Aston Hotel (by Witton arms) has long since been a pub and is now a HMO i believe. One of the things that really make the area look like a shit hole (if you are walking from the Witton arms side) is the amount of half repaired cars that are strewn across multiple pavements by the local breaking companies. Not once have i ever seen one of these with a parking ticket or being towed. It is not just the Villa that have to get their shit together to make the area more appealing for families etc to want to spend longer there.Look outside the Villa chippy after a game it is an all you can eat buffet for every local rat as no one takes responsibility for clearing up. At least after the game the villa have teams litter picking in and around the ground, especially in the playgrounds, but the local people and businesses have to play their part.
I’m not sure how the gig element venue will be successful, not the best location when the Academy and Institute are in town. Many bands are now going to the renovated Wolves Civic instead of Brum

This is a wider society bugbear of mine, never mind obesity taxes on takeaways or whatnot, they should have another levy placed on them for clearing up the shit left behind by their patrons.
The lack of bins is an issue but people having a bit of general respect as to not just throw their rubbish on the floor is the greater problem. Once the item is sold the greater responsibility passes to the customer.
