Anyone noticed that Villa seem to have taken over a section of Aston Hall for 'hospitality parking '? Not sure how they've done that, thought Aston Hall was a public park.
Can't see the locals being happy with them not letting people through.
Locals usually give Aston park a miss on a match day.

Walking up from Start City side I noticed that there was well organised parking at two major  industrial sites with proceeds going to a children's charity. Well done to all.

There was a queue to get in but it moved swiftly, what was holding everything up was people not knowing how to scan themselves in, more or ant stewards would have helped. Queue for a drink was also much improved

Outside the North they had a a few stewards going from queue to queue a few steps back from the turnstiles giving advice. I had borrowed my brothers app access to get in and it scanned and let me through straightaway.

I think there are two options. One is the app which needs the ID scanned, the other is the wallet which should work by touch do and you don't optical scan it. That isn't made clear though.

Not seen any comment about the facilities. Any improvements. I didn’t  get the chance to check at it took us 30 mins to get in again and we almost missed the kick off.

Me too and I missed the kick off again. The issues were with season tickets disappearing from people’s wallets.

I had to help a mate “rediscover” his season ticket from his expired passes folder….people really should be getting better prepared before joining the turnstile queue.

Queue for the Trinity moved reasonably briskly. With staff assistance on hand.

I didn't like it. Just too distracting when those screens are flashing adverts and based on yesterday, on a night game it will be worse.

Agreed. Every other minute Villa Park was lit up in bright red. There was Betano and Trade Nation. If they have to be that bright, at least make them claret.

Popped into that Paddleboat Steamer in the North Stand before the game. It was ok, might not be great in the winter months and the one way system (you cant walk back down the same stairs you walked up) was a bit silly.

Any spotting of the face painters anyone? Asking for a 5yo and a 3yo just about coping with the idea of no fun zone next Saturday…. (I’ve been told they’d be somewhere)

Exactly what we said. That bright red and white was definitely Arsenal-esque.

Sounds like fans will need Villa match day sunglasses. I sense a new revenue stream. 8)

Does the new Fanzone mean no more bands or interviews with ex players?

Why had this year's season ticket gone into expired passes? That is the issue

After the first game mine went to the expired passes folder but just checked and it hasn’t happened this time.

Yeah, had that; took 5 minutes to sort out but the staff were very good.

It’s an updated pass for the next game, so yesterday’s pass is expired (technically). Although it is strange that it happens to some but not others.

The new LEDs also cover up most of the claret and blue balcony frontages - which are one of the ground's trademarks. Ellis did the same 1980s... I think he'd currently be very proud of the current rinse the regulars' mindset.

Full night game that red is going to be horrible. From the trinity it was blinding when it came on, horrid. Make it claret and blue ffs, especially the betano one.
