Can you tell me why you've got a dead man, with an arm missing, in your boot?

No fun zone. My matchday with two little kids just fell apart :/
Not sure it’s going to work any more.

Lee Preece has noted my wish to share his email unless there was a public statement coming quickly, so presumably there isn’t, here you go.

Thanks for the reminder.

Unfortunately, the building is about to start a major reconstruction so we have lost the family fun zone as was.

We considered using the new Inner City Academy, but as it is a professional sporting surface, we cannot have matchday activity on the pitch.

What we do have is a new space cube being built in the car park, which should have a capacity of circa 1,500 fans, and will provide prime views for player arrival.

Where we can, colleagues will still try and provide child friendly activity.

Once the building work is finished on the new warehouse (where the family fun zone was), we will have up to 4,000 fans housed pre and post-match which will include activities and spaces for children.  The building will open in the autumn of 2025.

We know the fun zone is a big loss, but the building has fell into a state of disrepair over the years and needs a complete overhaul.

Many thanks for your continued support.

I’m gutted and will share some thoughts and suggestions with him at some point.

It was always ambitious and I know for some questionable bringing such little ones along, but it’s been a good part of our lives, my 5yo is on her 4th ST this season and my youngest started coming along meaning much seat juggling since the end of 22/23…

Getting to VP has been an important focus for me and them through some tumultuous times, I’m also grateful for support I’ve had from H&V folk.
Even if it never happens again I’m glad I got them both there with my Dad at the same time.

I have mentioned to them my fear the Fun Zone might not be there, I’m not sure how much interest they’ll keep in coming, though the indoctrination seems pretty deep given the amount of spontaneous singling and comments over the summer holiday.

In the better weather the park is really nice and great for a picnic and outdoor mucking about, particularly if you go up to the area around Aston Hall.  Appreciate this will have less appeal in mid December.

Sorry for interrupting the movie quotes, on a similar theme I can offer Juve's sporting director's quote on the Luiz deal -

It's a deal, It's a steal, it's the sale of the f*****g Century

And before in the conversation.  '£42m, is still £42m, not when the price is £60m it's not.'

Thanks Chrisw1, yes park and playgrounds either side of it could be important, but the focus of a dedicated space including face painting is a big loss (that would be my chief suggestion to bring in quite easily by the players entrance, but the queued would just exponentially increase so mixed feelings about the idea). It’s been invaluable over 3 seasons, maybe a season of light attendance and other things woven in will get us to next autumn if and when more dedicated space is available.

The new fanzone building was pretty advanced on Saturday - looks like there will be an element of hospitality in there though. The "building" looked like something you'd see put up at Cheltenham or the F1.

Is this the building in the North Stand car park, Trinity Rd side?
