We should just build over the top of Aston Reservoir and offer Power League a swap too. Easy! ;-)

Not that daft a suggestion

My preference would be to bulldoze Aston Hall (always thought it was a bit of an eyesore), flatten the park and put a new ground there

There's also that big area of sports pitches up by Witton Cemetery
Don't mess with the memories of my football career.Sutton Park would be a better choice of park.

It seems to me that the problem we have is that we need to build a new North Stand but can't do so as it would take too much time and lead to a reduced capacity in the meantime.

Has anyone considered just... building it really quickly? Everyone goes on about how great the pyramid builders were but they don't build pyramids anymore, do they?

Stands to reason, then, that there must be a load of highly-skilled, out of work, Egyptian construction workers who could easily knock us up a new stand in a month or two and probably throw in a sphinx, just for a laugh. Surely Nassef could have a word.

Oh, look who it is.

WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN?*

Someone on here had a great idea , might have been VillaMole about building the stand on rails behind the current stand and then once ready simply demolish the current stand and slide the new one into place. A bit like how they moved that sarcophagus over the damaged reactor at Chernobyl.

I think that suggestion by VillaMole might just have been tongue in cheek.

Wouldn't even have to bother with the rails, just build the new stand behind the old one. When it's finished knock the old one down. If people complain that they're miles away from the pitch, make them aware of the new club-branded binoculars, a bargain at only £60 (£80 if you want this season's badge on them).

I want next season’s, or maybe I’ll wait 12 months and see what the one after that is like.

We could just have a new badge every game then announce "Badge of the Season" at the end of year awards.

Couldn't we just sign a squad worth of really, really big players, easier to spot from distance?

Although, if we're really interested in Weston McKennie, we've clearly already started doing that.

Perhaps we could just ask the players to try to stay at that end of the pitch in each half? That would make things a lot easier.

Alternatively, they could just shout stuff like "I'VE PLAYED IT SIDEWAYS", "I'VE PASSED TO McKENNIE", "I'VE FUCKED IT UP" really loudly so that even if supporters couldn't see the action, they could still hear what was going on. Obviously, we might need to ask the North Stand regulars to keep the sound of their knitting to a minimum.

I think Eric Clapton, who has turned out be a diamond geezer despite all predictions, wrote a song about this.

Then again, Bob Dylan said mama take this badge off of me.

It's a vexatious issue, to be sure.

Didn’t Wolves do this
You know, build a stand miles away from the actual pitch

After yesterday's PSR vote, the simple truth is those with purpose built stadiums that have huge commercial ability will have a £100m plus head start moving forward. Only way we keep capacity at a decent level and build something like that is to do it away from the current site, or move out for a bit. I'd buy the Alex and build a Spurs style stadium there and bite the bullet, but I wouldn't tell anyone I was thinking about moving from the current site until I had zero choice about it.

While I am positive they are working on plans for Villa Park, I do think they have ruled out moving site.
