Quote from: Drummond on June 05, 2024, 01:11:16 PMWe should just build over the top of Aston Reservoir and offer Power League a swap too. Easy! ;-)Not that daft a suggestionMy preference would be to bulldoze Aston Hall (always thought it was a bit of an eyesore), flatten the park and put a new ground thereThere's also that big area of sports pitches up by Witton Cemetery

It seems to me that the problem we have is that we need to build a new North Stand but can't do so as it would take too much time and lead to a reduced capacity in the meantime.Has anyone considered just... building it really quickly? Everyone goes on about how great the pyramid builders were but they don't build pyramids anymore, do they?Stands to reason, then, that there must be a load of highly-skilled, out of work, Egyptian construction workers who could easily knock us up a new stand in a month or two and probably throw in a sphinx, just for a laugh. Surely Nassef could have a word.

A bit like how they moved that sarcophagus over the damaged reactor at Chernobyl.
Wouldn't even have to bother with the rails, just build the new stand behind the old one. When it's finished knock the old one down. If people complain that they're miles away from the pitch, make them aware of the new club-branded binoculars, a bargain at only £60 (£80 if you want this season's badge on them).

We could just have a new badge every game then announce "Badge of the Season" at the end of year awards.
