The houses are home to families with decades of memories there. As football fans, we're guilty of sometimes forgetting that not everyone else has the same sense of priorities we do.This is true but I think the club can grease the wheels by offering a really good incentive package. Why not purchase some land and build them brand new houses thereby not splitting up the community? A ballpark estimate here for around 100 houses would be 10/15 million. In the grand scheme of things that wouldn't be so bad. We have major investors on board with a proven track record so I don't think they have got involved just to add a few extra seats and some corporate hospitality packages.

They can’t even sort moving people’s seats in a football stadium in a structured way….theres no way they could manage turning people’s lives upside down correctly :-)We are a decade or so late to any of the land near the ground…horse has well and truly bolted

Are we leaping to assumptions that the ‘infrastructure’ investment is buildings/stadiums? Admittedly it is by far the most likely. The main other infrastructure I can think of is youth development and trying to farm young footballers, across the V Sports network. they could become a Chelsea and grow players using a shared philosophy. The skill set of the people added to the board doesn’t align with this but the opportunities around Villa Park seem limited to me to justify the investment.
Agree if using a one club model but if extended across all the clubs (plus Vasco) and upgrades to all the facilities to match the ambitions then it may justify outside investment. After all I’d guess Villa burns through 99% of their spare cash so finance might be needed to join all the dots together?
When did they say the work on the warehouse building starts? To my mind, you’ve got two options to redevelop the existing site - over the current footprint, or on the land behind the North with a 90 degree rotation. If they were thinking about the latter, they would be holding off plans to build a venue there that isn’t even going to be ready for two years.
