Whatever the club does with the ground, I really hope that they are considering how to expand the family areas. It looks like they're going for enticing the hardcore fans and supplementing them with corporates and tourists. Natural wastage of season tickets, if not addressed, could result in the ground being full of corporates and tourists in the longer term, with a dwindling number of season ticket holders and less youngsters attending because they never had the habit in the first place.
Or if they stuck with Plan A we'd be 52,000 by 2026. And showcasing it to a big audience for the Euros in 2028.In the past decade we have seen that clubs like Liverpool have redeveloped, Spurs opened their new stadium, West Ham got gifted a new stadium and Newcastle seriously looking at expansion while Everton have opted for a new stadium. These clubs (with the exception maybe of Everton at the moment) are ahead of us in terms of revenue, match day etc.I cannot see any argument for us delaying. It's such a head scratcher. Yes we'd have a small hit for a season or a season and a half losing our smallest stand but we'd have a big gain medium to long-term. Tarting it up with new seats and boxes doesn't suggest they have ambitions to do anything major for some time.
I could be wrong but I got the impression that Unai didn't want to change anything about the stadium while we were doing so well.

Is he planning on not doing well in the next two or three seasons then? Or are we stuck with the North Stand until he hangs up his powerpoint slides?
