Will we be the only club in England with our own indoor music/events centre?

Don’t Man City have a huge one

There are some other decent venues knocking about round there if this proves successful and indicative of still more demand. The old transport museum over the road, it’s called The Majestic now and is used as a function room/wedding venue. The Aston Hotel is a lovely looking boozer from the outside, but from memory is not that roomy. Is the Rat Pan still standing? I haven’t been round that side of the ground for years.
The Aston Hotel (by Witton arms) has long since been a pub and is now a HMO i believe.

One of the things that really make the area look like a shit hole (if you are walking from the Witton arms side) is the amount of half repaired cars that are strewn across multiple pavements by the local breaking companies.

Not once have i ever seen one of these with a parking ticket or being towed. It is not just the Villa that have to get their shit together to make the area more appealing for families etc to want to spend longer there.

Look outside the Villa chippy after a game it is an all you can eat buffet for every local rat as no one takes responsibility for clearing up. At least after the game the villa have teams litter picking in and around the ground, especially in the playgrounds, but the local people and businesses have to play their part.

Walsall have something similar too - but on a smaller scale.

Citeh were investors in the Co Op Arena, it’s the biggest arena in the UK, bigger than the O2 and specifically designed for concerts etc, acoustics etc

I’m not sure how the gig element venue will be successful, not the best location when the Academy and Institute are in town. Many bands are now going to the renovated Wolves Civic instead of Brum

It's so obvious that the whole project, especially the 'regeneration' aspect would work so much better alongside doing the damn North Stand at the same time.

This development will always have an asterisk beside it * Will the Villa ever get around to expanding to 50,000.

This is a wider society bugbear of mine, never mind obesity taxes on takeaways or whatnot, they should have another levy placed on them for clearing up the shit left behind by their patrons.

They are doing the latter because of issues with the Birmingham venues, i.e. greed. Also, the fact that Brum folk go to Wolves for these gigs is proof that the location isn’t an issue.

If they get the bookings, people will definitely go.

The lack of bins is an issue but people having a bit of general respect as to not just throw their rubbish on the floor is the greater problem. Once the item is sold the greater responsibility passes to the customer.

But Spurs’ ground has similar local “ challenges”  to us and that doesn’t seem to put off soccer tourists from visiting every other week.

Yes, maybe the vendors who sell the food etc should provide addiquate bins for all the litter they produce.

If your entire business premise is to sell food to be eaten immediately off the premises, then you should pay extra to resolve the issues this causes, and that money can go to providing extra bins, emptying those bins, pest control and so on.

They're a fucking scourge, the owners walking off with the cash don't live nearby, just leaving a trail of obesity and rubbish behind.

I can’t see any bins, no matter just fuck it off into the road. It’s a problem everywhere not just around food outlets.
