There was a difference between Emi’s long accurate clearances and Pickford’s mainly hit and hope clearances

That was very evident. His clearances were very deliberate and precise.

If he/Argies win Sunday , we must be one of very few clubs that's has had a double/consecutive world cup winner on their books at the same time ?

Believe Spurs could also claim this with Romero.

Must be a fair few Brazilians in the 1958 and 1962 squads, that were at the same club for both.

Pele for Santos for example.

Maybe some Italians in the 30s. Mazzola (senior), was he at Inter?

Pickford is awful with the ball at his feet, his kicking is at best average too. The amount of unwarranted praise he was getting for his WC performances baffled me. I think he’s a poor keeper overall.

He just comes across as erratic and not very commanding  for me

Mentioned to my mates while watching how comfortable he looked on the ball in comparison to Pickford - night and day. Easy to forget cause he's been here so long (and has had his ups and downs) that we've got one of the best players in the world at his position.

Yes, the one thing above all that makes me nervous about selling him is how vital he is to our outfield play.

I was reassured by Damian's comments the other day and I think we should aim to get another 2 seasons out of him - as a keeper he can go on and on.

Pickford gets on my nerves when he’s celebrating a save and the ball still in play. One day he’s going to get caught out and look a right muppet.

It was funny how England pressed to "force Emi to play long" which led to the Argies best chance of the whole game at that point and a goal saving  tackle from Spence.
I thought you wait, it’s one of his many attributes. Any decent pundit/commentator would have known.

I think he looks like a WW1 poster boy..
