I thought that, but I reckon it's just the difficulty of getting nuance in a second language.

You ought to have a basic grasp of Latin if you’re  playing for Villa.

"Martinez will stay with us; we have no intention of letting him go this summer. The team needs his dedication and his vast experience, and he's a very important element in our project for next season." He adds: "All the news published by the media about his possible transfer to Juventus does not reflect the club's true position. Martínez is a very important player for us, and we expect him to continue delivering exceptional performances alongside his teammates."

Bit too certain, that. Not deffo, but very likely!

So the rumours of us selling a world class keeper for €10m WEREN'T true? No fucking way!

I figured he was staying when he had his cheeky grin speaking to Manzambi. The cheeky grinning loveable bastard.

It's good news as I did harbour a nagging fear he was going to use tomorrow night to 'Alpay' his way to Juventus.

He had his chance for his Alpay moment years ago and stayed loyal throughout. And I still contend he was forced into a situation last summer because of FFP and we missed out on the CL. Alpay got one sight of the sun and decided he was Franz Beckenbauer.

I think he'll do what he wants to do irrespective of what big Vid says. He's a collosal character with a big ego, it's what we love about him and part of what makes him a great keeper, but short of him doing an Alpay I wouldn't put it past him to engineer a big move if the opportunity came about.
