He seems to be saying/implying he chose to stay at Villa rather than the move falling through because MU signed Lammens.

I don't believe that tbh.

I think the most important bit about this is he's trying to control the narrative, which means he cares, which means he is staying. If that's the case I'm happy, because he's fucking brilliant.

Leeches and snitches the lot of you.

Careful, or I'll tell everyone where you went to university - undergrad and postgrad!

You're just lucky I don't know your surname.

It's great that a senior player that has won what Emi has thought of a young player like that.

He’s got to be up there as our most decorated (in terms of major honours) player hasn’t he?

I realise it’s a subjective thing, because it’s about the value you place on particular competitions. But he’s got a seriously impressive haul.

Premier League and CL with us in the next 2 seasons and he’ll have a decent haul.

I'm assuming Paul means medals won while a Villa player.

James Cowan, Howard Spencer, Charlie Athersmith and John Devey all won seven major honours just with Villa. Martinez has won four major honours since signing for us, I think. Finalissima doesn't really count, is like including the Charity Shield.
