Didn't he has a easier pass out to konsa or cash on his right?

The pass to Torres was a very easy one. Just gave it to Salah instead.

Just before that their goal was correctly called offside, good defensive line from us. Martinez at his best is using that cross as an open invitation to leave one on their forward. Hid on his line a bit, sign maybe his confidence isn't all that currently.

I've never paid attention before, but I didn't realise he quite often plays a sort of 'no look' pass, one of which lead to the mistake. He sort of looks at the floor focusing on the incoming attacker and relies on his peripheral vision.

He's always had a clanger in him. It will be more focused on now because he pissed us around this summer.

He’s definitely on the wane I think.  Hasn’t got that True Grit anymore.

It's one misplaced pass, yes a goalkeeper playing a poor pass is likely to lead to a goal chance but we played poor passes quite a few times last night, not just the keeper.

This is an extreme reaction, although it was a bad mistake. I note the world's no. 1 chants still ain't happening. Maybe it matters, maybe it doesn't, but the relationship with the fans is undoubtedly damaged.

Seems to reserve them for games against any of the red shite, which are hard enough to win in the first place given you're playing 11 men and 3 match officials.

I love Emi, he’s still a huge presence to have and one of the best, but that clanger against Man Utd and then yesterday is bloody annoying. The Man Utd one was far worse and that game had so much riding on it.

For a supposed big game player, he shits the bed in a lot of big games.

After this summer he doesn't really elicit any positive emotions from me anymore, he's just our goalie and nothing more. Not bothered about the world number 1 stuff and massaging his ego. He'd be being booed by the prawns at the Theatre of Twats if he had his way.
