He's better than Bizot...by a wide margin. Fortunate to get away with dropping that cross/shot but 2 x brilliant saves.

Emi Martínez
@emimartinezz1

When I wear the crest, I give nothing less than my all #utv

Yeah, it's when he's not wearing it that's the problem.

The save from Keane’s header was top drawer Emi. We take a hiding today without him.

He’s capable no doubt about it. We just him to be consistent.

Another 50 performances like today and he’ll be half way to making up for his stupidity in the last game of last season.
My mind must be playing tricks on me. Didn't Matty Cash drop him in it with a shocking back pass?

That’s exactly what it was. If there’s to be finger pointing that’s where it goes.

Two weeks ago I assumed Martinez was gone. Emotions were raw, everyone seemed pissed off with him, myself included.

Then he pulls out a performance like that yesterday. Hopefully we'll now see a more focused Martinez.

He’s a professional between the sticks. Best keeper we’ve ever had.

Cracking save from Keane. He didnt have a lot to do, but then he didn't last season and ended up picking the ball out of the net a few too many times.

And how many excellent games do the rest of the players from that match need to have to make up for their performances?

In the name of consistency and fairness, it also has to be 50 for all the other Villa players who got recklessly sent off that day.

He made a stupid mistake that cost us big time.

What about all the times he's saved us?
