And again we conceded at least 3 without him. Goals conceded when he doesn't play is atrocious.

He will probably say that the club actually wanted him to leave earlier in the window and he was ok with that, but that he is also happy to stay because he loves the club blah blah blah. He might say it was the managers decision for him not to play v Palace and he respects that. Now wants to focus on winning a trophy.

I think a normal player would make a contrite statement to try to get fans back on side. Fuck knows with Martinez, though. He could hug Emery at the next game, or chin him.

His rehabilitation into the Villa family will be interesting.

Might require a complete disclosure, cards on the table, full explanation from him.

And 20 clean sheets.

Treat the rest of the team to dinner at Opheem, and he has to sing and do the Macarena at the hotel before the Everton game. That should do it.

I thought there would be some kind of apologetic statement after the Man U game last season. It’s quite common now.

He shouldn't say anything, just go out and prove he's still a top keeper.

If he can do this, it would be wonderful.

Now wants to focus on winning a trophy.

But I thought he was staying at Villa now?

It’s been his standard quote for a couple of years

Delph
Grealish
Martínez

The trinity of players who destroyed the idea there is loyalty in football.

I thought Grealish would be different because he was supposedly one of us.

Then I thought Martínez would be because the club had effectively rescued him and turned him into a legend.

They can all suck my dong tbf.

Lets get behind him. He has been abit of a knob but he is our player. Until  we are told otherwise  we get nothing out of turning on one our own.

Will you be doing this for the rest of our players? Cash , Onana etc?
