I know it's a footballer's life to move around, but his family seem very settled in the UK, businesses, schools, kids football clubs... going to man utd they probably wouldn't move - but Turkey is a bit different.

Indeed, she's reportedly been a vocal critic of Erdogan's broader ambitions in the Middle East.

There will be an interview, Emi sat of sofa, with wife and kids. Toughest decision of my life, would have been a hard decision, put my family's future at the heart of what I need to do.... yadda yadda yadda

No, the interview will be with an Argentinian reporter during this international break, unrecorded, and with things said later being claimed to have been lost in translation.

Fucking hell the rumour express is gathering pace! Apparently he's close to signing a new deal with us and the whole thing is agent driven to get more dough out of us. Could be bollocks of course just thought I'd join in the fun.

Little was going to go because we agreed to sell him. He didn't refuse to play or deliberately try to sabotage the club, to my knowledge.

Martinez is an absolute rat. Worse than Hodge, IMO. Hodge fucked is over in one game, Martinez is trying to ruin our entire season.

The principle's the same and besides, if Adolf Hitler flew in today they'd send a limousine anyway.

As others have said, there are other players on the brink of moves that were able to show up and play for their clubs this week. That irks me more than the idea Emi wanted away or was working on it from last January.

I'm not stupid enough to think we should sack him off without a replacement at this late hour, but I'd be spending the remaining hours trying to sign a replacement rather than just accepting that he can stay now.

If we take an amalgam of the very believable  Vinnie and X posts, then we can infer that Watkins, Martinez, Rogers and JJ were told (in January?) that one of them would have to be sold to meet the financial rules.

It seems that JJ didn’t want to leave, but you can hardly blame the other 3 if they looked into all the options.

Imagine working for a company and being told that one out of four of you will be let go - but we are not going to tell you which one for another 8 months

Pretty shit I’d imagine - as hinted at by Mings.  But similar things happen all the time in industrial redundancy processes - although not quite the same thing, I’ll admit.

To be fair we don't know whether that's the player's attitude to a prospective move, or the manager's.

We could do with a right winger, to be fair.

She has also questioned the legitimacy of city being named Istanbul.
