Watching it back it looks like he could have got out of the way but he chose to take the player down.

Yep. He almost rugby tackled him in the end, when he could have made him take the ball wide and then scampered back or even just hound him down the byline.

He’s a keeper, and keepers are nutters(I should know!). Why shepherd him down the line when you can rugby tackle him out the game!!

I’d like for us to do what Liverpool are doing with Allison by signing Marmadashvilli. We need to keep Emi and bring in his replacement like the lad Garcia. Sell Emi in a year and have a top replacement ready to go immediately.

Hojlund is such a rubbish player, if Emi had kept his head I'd have fancied him to win the ball off him down the line. But he lined him up from a good 5 yards away to lay him out.

Absolute howler - one of our best big match players letting us down when we needed him.

Hope its not his last action for us - I think he owes us something for that as it was inexcuseable.

He owes us nothing. We would already have lost the game long before the incident if he hadn't been playing so well earlier (the only player who was).

I know what your saying - but it was a major fuck up in a huge game.

Maybe owes us isnt the right thing to say - but feels like its not the right way for one of our best ever players to sign off.

Really? Most half-decent goalies would have saved those shots.

Anyway has he apologised on Insta yet with genuine blue-eyed tear emojis?

Arsenal want Aston Villa's Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, 32, to return to the club amid interest from Real Madrid in their 29-year-old Spain shot-stopper David Raya. (Sun)

Am I right in saying he's now banned for 3 games? So stay or go we need a very good second choice keeper for the start of next season.

I don't think so. Arsenal fans hate him anyway as he always gets a hostile reception going back there.

Feels like any prem interest will just be low balling us with stupid offers. If we want serious money sell him to Saudi Arabia.

Just one I think as it wasn't violent conduct.

He can... And I mean this from the bottom of my heart.. Fuck off the very second we get a fair offer for him.

Rogers non goal has saved him from loads more grief.

Dean Henderson anyone.?

For such an experienced player it was a shocking bit of decision making.
