The good news is that Emiliano Martinez has suffered a hairline fracture, rather than a fractured finger. In a busy, critical spell for #AVFC (4 games in 11 days), having Martinez for as much of it as possible is key. Will be assessed this evening and tomorrow

I've got a hairline fracture, unfortunately on every hair on my head and it feels permanent.

My hairline, as was, reminds me of where it used be with one solitary hair that keeps growing, on it's own, like a tiny desert island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.....

I think thats probably keeping brentford on their  toes

If he has fractured his finger  i dont see how he can play

Strap it up, doctor the glove, if necessary, to fit two fingers and off we go.

Unai's update on Emi Martínez: "We are going to try today this afternoon but I don't know how he is going to feel. It depends on the training today... I don't know now [if he is able to play tomorrow]."

Seems the 2 months out rumour was wide of the mark.

I mean in Villa injury terms 'might be fit for tomorrow' usually means about two months out, so the original prognosis might be accurate.

Of course it isn’t. Brentford aren’t going to change the way they play because of who plays in goal.

Yeah  ok if you really believe that 😂😂😂

Surely the thing with a hairline fracture is that you don't want it to develop into a full fracture. You know, by playing football and things like that.

If we play Olsen, the other players don't trust him with the ball so boot it down the other end of the field away from our goal, relieving pressure and reducing chances against us.

Easy this football management lark.

I really do believe that Frank won’t be telling his team to have pot shots at goal, because we’ve got Olsen in goal. I’m not surprised that you think that though.
