The Man Utd nanager chose Onana over Martinez? Yep, that sounds believable.

Clearly nobody told her not suck eggs...

His agent also said this;

“Today he is in one of the best projects, he has one of the best sporting directors in the world, one of the most prestigious coaches in the world, they have qualified for the Champions League, when nobody thought it was possible.”

“Surely, they will compete in the Champions League and, with a goalkeeper like Emiliano, who turns everything into a box of surprises, they’ll end up competing on a grand scale.”

“But it’s never all said and done: we are having conversations, listening, watching and we’ll see… But perhaps, he puts Aston Villa at the level of the greats of Europe.”

Sounds like agent doing his own thing, to be honest.

Agent seeking new deal shock.

Indeed. I expect agents only see any sort of pay day when a player gets a transfer or signs a new extended deal. So all the time they're happily not moving and just earning a crust, they're not getting paid.

If Man U ever were interested in Emi, then last season was the only time they'd have had a chance of signing him. They were in the Champions League, we weren't, and it wasn't yet fully apparent just how useless their manager is compared to Unai.

Agents get paid a % of the players income [wages; endorsements etc] over the time of the contract, between 10 and 15%. Nice work if you can get it ...

Has De Gea retired now? I don't think he fixed himself up with a club in the end. A waste of talent especially when he doesn't have many years left playing (or none, if he has retired).

Well done Emi. Copa America champion yet again. Didn’t really get tested throughout the game, but did all the important basic things brilliantly. Such an important player for them and gives his defence so much confidence and belief.
