No I can see an appropriate football playing keeper come in and Gauci probably that guy.
Martinez is number one without a doubt.

I'm asking how you tally your current Martinez worship with the fact not long ago you were suggesting Martinez is long term to be replaced by Olsen.

A bit like saying the Beatles should have replaced John with Frankie Howerd.
I am the walrus, titter ye not.

Also how Martinez was sulking and refusing to play because he didn’t like Emery’s team selection or tactics…

That's past theory and besides the point to the current discussion.
Why isn't Martinez recognised as the best Premier League goalkeeper?
Heard ex players like Rob Green not really supportive only Bosnich  has acknowledged him.
Regards pundits on Sky, TNT,  Talk sport and BBC thet don't focus and highlight his goal keeping abilities. This is what is being raised for discussion.

I just think this season he's totally proved that he's the best in this league even more so and doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
The focus seems more to be on his antics.
If Villa finish 4th and if win Europa Conference League it's a major contribution by Martinez but will that be recognized ?

Since winning the world cup he has carried on being world class and that should be rewarded in honour by pundits far more by Sky , TNT BBC and talk sport .

The most recognized he gets is his reputation at dark arts and there is far more to him than that!

Who gives a flying fuck?

Ah, sorry I thought I could discuss a point you raised, but I must have stumbled into your own private discussion thread for only discussing what you want to today!  ;D

That's no relevance to discuss old theories unless necessary

Must you persist. It's far more productive to discuss current themes.

He’s obviously changed his mind. It happens. Some might say it is a good thing to be able to allow unfolding events to give you a different perspective. I used to think Bailey was a waste of space sicknote. I now think he’s great.

And just because his non native English and (in my opinion) ASD mean his communication is a bit odd and he doesn’t read a room too well is no excuse to suddenly become Sid James fans.
