I don’t get it, what did he really do?

He didn’t dive or pretend someone headbutted him, he didn’t spit on someone or get aggressive with a ballboy, he didn’t even launch a flying kick at a fan or try to eat his opponent’s flesh!

He put his fingers to his lips, wiggled his hips, and did his bloody job.

He has raised the club's profile and image. There isn't a team in the world that wouldn't want him. And i'd imagine he's top of the list of the last keeper on earth a players wants to be facing for a penalty or one on one.

He's a winner and exactly what we need. I love him.

Too right

The guy is a mental giant. In both senses of term.

There are at least four senses to that term!

Emi's my favourite ever Villa player.

Suspended for first leg of the semi apparently cos of 3 yellows across the 2 legs

https://twitter.com/villareport/status/1781063558005940246?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet

At least he'll be there for shootout in second leg

I thought they were wiped out for the semifinals?

Not if he picks up the ban from the Quarters, although I will wait until UEFA say something first.

On completion of the quarter final cards are wiped.

He really is crazier than a shithouse rat, but the best Villa keeper I've ever seen.

I've loved one or two along the way, but he is my favourite, and the best too. He has everything you'd ever want. He makes saves, he is calm under pressure, is desperate to win, is a team player and a nice bloke to boot.

'Is Emi suspended for the semi final?'

Why didn't Barry take the penalty?

Always secretly admired the way the Argies could indulge in the dark arts at just the right moment.

Divine providence has ordained we have the finest practitioner they've prob ever produced.

And the roll call is long.

To all this noise about 'we were lucky he was on the pitch'

Is it fuck, the ref was a right knob, no clue at all, neither of the cards were at all justified.

Fuck em'

You say that like there was a point at which that was in question. He's been fantastic since he walked through the door but now he's becoming legendary.

He’s my current favour Villa player. His psychological impact on the opposition is so invaluable. They all think they have to overcompensate to beat him. And in penalties and shootouts, I can’t think of a better goal keeper you’d have in the world right now. Incredible signing and the best I’ve seen in my lifetime.

I don’t really see what he did. If fans are giving a player and he shushes them what’s the big deal? Also home players whip up the crowd to their benefit too (which probably leads to more stick of opposing players). I don’t see how it’s going too far, it’s all part of the spectacle.

Anyhow, Emi is brilliant and I wouldn’t swap him for any player.
