I must admit keepers don't tend to go for as much as I thought.  I'm not sure why, they're vital to become a great team.

He's got 4.5 years left on his contract.  In my view the only reason we'd sell is if there's a personality clash with Emery.  IF we chose to, I was thinking prob £70-£80m, but maybe £50 ish is closer to the mark?

Geting a replacement would be hard.  You'd probably say Raya, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go to Spurs.  Otherwise it's thin pickings in the PL.

Kepa Arrizabalaga   Athletic Club to Chelsea   €80m   2018-19
Alisson   Roma to Liverpool   €62.5m   2018-19
Gianluigi Buffon   Parma to Juventus   €52.88m   2001-02
Ederson   Benfica to Manchester City   €40m   2017-18
Jasper Cillesen   Barcelona to Valencia   €35m   2019-20
Thibaut Courtois   Chelsea to Real Madrid   €35m   2018-19
Manuel Neuer   Schalke to Bayern Munich   €30m   2011-12
Jordan Pickford   Sunderland to Everton   €28.5m   2017-18
Aaron Ramsdale   Sheffield United to Arsenal   €28m   2021-22
Francesco Toldo   Fiorentina to Inter Milan   €26.5m   2001-02

If there is a release clause and he wants to go, what the club or Emery want is irrelevant.  £50m would be about right I'd think (but, again, it'll be whatever the release clause is).

I'd be amazed if there's a release clause.  The owners were massively pissed off by the Jack sale.  There was still a few years left on Martinez's original contract (4 years from Sep 2020) when we renewed, I really don't think we would have accepted any type of release clasue at that time - certainly not within the first 2-3 years anyway.

We'll soon fund out I guess!  Hope you're right.

Jordan Pickford is about to sign a new contract with Everton. I realize that Emi has more appeal globally than England’s long standing national team keeper but it also shows that the market for international keepers isn’t what it is for outfield players. We may lose Emi long term if we don’t build around him, especially this summer, but there is no guarantee he will be going anywhere in the short term just because he stated an aim to play CL.

Not sure if it's been previously mentioned but I wonder if there's a sell-on clause?  If Arsenal are due a relatively large chunk of the profit, would it be worth our while selling Emi?

Difficult to know, but my guess would be not. He wasn't an 18 year old future prospect, he was somebody in his late 20s who they'd let play in a handful of League Cup games, and who they had continually shipped out on loan.

You can literally make anything up on Twitter and get people to believe it. Think about it rationally. Before he signed his new contract he would have been worth way more than that in today’s market. Let alone now

Obviously but what if we have put in a low-release clause in order for him to sign a new deal? Hope not. We don't wanna get Delph'd.
I bet he has one, but I would think it would be a reasonably high, but probably less then we would ideally want given how is reputation has just exploded since the world cup

Jordan Pickford is about to sign a new contract with Everton.

At least we don't have to worry about signing him if we do sell Emi then.

Thank God. If we sold Emi and signed him I think I'd be sick, like physically and everything.

Our Emi could be named Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper today at a ceremony in Paris. He is up against Yassine Bounou and Thibaut Courtois for the award. Good luck Emi!
