Bosnich's kicking was absolutely awful too. I loved him though. He once laughed at me falling over during a friendly against Torpoint Athletic. True story.

The back pass rule came in during his career though, so not like he’d grown up practicing it.

Most of Bosnich's reputation was built on penalty saves I think, especially during that cup run in 94, but that save against Coventry a few years later is still one of the best I've ever seen.

To be fair his kicking out of his hands wasn’t much better, still the best in my lifetime though.

Yes, he'd have grown up when there was a reason why kids like him went in goal.

There was that Spurs (?) away (?) game in '94 (?) when he saved two in one match.

Yep, it made him the first PL keeper to save 2 penalties in one game. There's been a few more since then that have done, two of them against us.

And let’s not forget that impeccably timed challenge against Klinsmann at VP

Best keeper we’ve had since Bozzie
I'd put him ahead of bozzie, personally, just needs to have a cup to his name with us and I'd say that for certain. Rimmer was before my time so not sure where he'd stand in the all time list

I'd still put Rimmer before them both but it's a different game now.

Martinez is up there now with Rimmer.  Jimmy played with a better defence so never really was as exposed.  Martinez is the real deal but needs to cut out some of his cockiness, its clear what will happen soon.  (IMO Bozzie nowhere close to either of them)

His save at 1-0 was absolutely world class.

It was great instincts/reflex but the shot went towards him instead of nearer the post so I'd have been disappointed if he hadn't got it.

Indeed, good instincts to move to the far post, something that was way beyond Olsen, but gawd you'd hope any decent keeper would be alive enough to get over for it.

Pickford would have saved it, too.

Emi is brilliant - world class - I think whether he is our best ever keeper requires him to stick around.

Its like Joe - to be the best - you have to give us the best years of your career.

Yeh because reacting that quickly at point blank range is a piece of piss.

It's hard to see what else he might do that mean that the last three years turn out to not be the best years of his career.

Lucky for Bozzie that was the same night Cantona decided to go mental at Selhurst Park - kind of slipped under the FAs radar consequently.
