The French press has been in a massive strop about Emi since the Final. Proper knickers in a twist stuff. They really hate him.

Indeed. They spent a couple of weeks floating articles saying that Emery wanted shot of him.

That is largely what the journo was on about, how he talks to Martinez about the line between being a good player and a good person. I am surprised Tommy Jordan didn't tell him to do one. Well, I'm not as, like, freedom of press yadayada but he was clearly digging.

Best in the world.

Wouldn't swap him for any goalkeeper right now.

He absolutely needs an original chant.

Post your Argentine music hits, Independiente chants and anything else. I will make him one.

Today is exactly why the idea of selling him and bringing in someone like Pickford (and using the difference in fees to improve the squad) is such a poor idea. A genuinely great goalkeeper wins you matches when things aren't quite working for you.

Exactly - being world class is more than just good at what you do - it’s doing it when it matters most

He is fucking great.

Apart from his obvious goalkeeping quality, he adds swagger, arrogance and self belief.

I fucking love him.

He looks like he is a  foot taller and wider since he became a World Cup winner.
