Have to say if those decisions were against us I would have been fuming, but remember if they would have got the pen no guarantee they would have scored.

I’m known for my relative impartial views on refs decisions (much to the annoyance of the folks I sit with). Those decisions were obvious and not marginal at all, therefore I wouldn’t have been fuming at all. For once an example of VAR doing a good job. Not that I’m a fan of VAR

On the Bosnich/Klinsman issue, Bosnich used to live near us and frequented the same bar (Flints). We got to know him a bit. Asked him about Klinsman, said he had been niggling him all game so when he saw the opportunity he took him out. Proper Keeper.

Reckless by Emi yesterday.
Another time that's nearly a Red card.

Yep, both were correcting mistakes by the on-field officials, the ref should've been able to see the handball from where he was, it was blatant and was 100% a goal if he didn't do it, if anything they still got away with it because it was a clear yellow card as well (it would've been red until the last few years). For theirs the lino should definitely have flagged for the offside and if anything the lines made it look closer than it really was.

It was a stupid, and uncharacteristic, challenge from Emi. He got pretty lucky, so hopefully can be used as a learning experience.

So people are aware before hand. In a few weeks Martinez, Buendia, Douglas Luiz will be playing 3 international matches in a week with the last of their matches at Argentina 1230am and Brazil 130am Friday
So they won't be playing Vs Chelsea next day Saturday!
Plus the quarantine rules of red list means 10 days isolation so not playing Vs Everton on 18th if I'm right ?
Factor in also Bailey on quarantine rules red list

Maybe not, there's been some talk of Luiz not being called up for these games to give him a bit of a break.

Well Martinez and Buendia have been called up to Argentina
We could have these 2 players at least unavailable.
There's a possibility that it's up to 6 matches 2 in each of
September, October and November international matches

Looks like their both going against the club and the Premier League's guidance by going.  Very very disappointing given our injury problems.

63 players ordered not to leave for national teams. 4 have disobeyed. 2 play for us. Fantastic.

On the disallowed goal first half....he does have a tendency when he kicks out of his hands to do it outside his box. Was actually wondering what was going to happen there once VAR looked at it, was expecting goal to be cancelled but thought it would be free kick outside the box as from where I was sitting he looked a yard outside when he released it.

Martinez doesn't look as assured and commanding to me, so far this season.

Like Targett, after a bit of a shaky start I thought him and Martinez just got better and better as the game progressed.

So just to clarify, we've got 2 players that are ignoring the instruction not to leave when we've got an outbreak at the club?

From the comments I've read, Dean isn't sure what the Two Emi's will do. If they decide to go they will have to have to isolate for 10 days in a government hotel on their return.
