Perhaps Martinez is thinking like Callum Wilson and Newcastle? He seems sold on Villa apparently, so I'd expect us to win the race for his signature....

A good keeper who keeps his defence organised makes such a difference. It's another level, I know, but look at the difference Allison and Ederson made to Liverpool and City. It will make a real difference to have a top keeper coming into his prime and who is reliably available for selection. We should have a settled core to the side this season.

He seems very athletic and good on the ball too.

The distribution could be key. I thought heaton was erratic enough in distribution, so could help massively on that score.

The only possible reason he could possibly choose Brighton is if he doesn’t to move from the London/outer London area.
Hopefully we’ll get him in

He may also like shingle beaches and pastel-coloured taxis.

Surprised he has his own thread as nothing agreed yet.

Pretty much every signing we have ever made has had a thread before the signing has been agreed.

Douglas Luiz's was started two weeks before he signed, and even after that we waited another two weeks for a work permit.

Matt Ryan is their number one, barely missed a game in last three seasons so would be a strange move to go there whereas he's playing here if he signs in next week.

It would definitely strike me as a weird place for Brighton to think they needed to spend £20m on an upgrade.

He is a bit of a pretty boy isn't he? All of the pictures of him I have seen online suggest he is a male model as opposed to a footballer.

Great Damo, just great, now I'm thinking of David James. I hope you're happy.

We've always had a history of chiselled, Fabio-esque goalkeepers. Look at Nigel Spink.

David James was a model for Armani he was the best example and factually accurate account.

I think Spurs' Ian Walker fancied himself as a model back in the day too.
