The Yanited fans don't seem that happy that they're getting a "declining Emi" whilst funding our move for Chevalier.
They’d be significantly improving their team at our detriment
We have to box smartly, a lot smarter in fact than most. We certainly won't miss last seasons Emi, the questions become; (i) will we get the Emi we've known before back? (ii) If we do, for how long? (iii) will we get better maximal value from his sale at any other point? (iv) if we don't move for a other keeper now, like the lad at Lille, will we have the funds to do it again?Chevallier might not be as good as Emi at his peak, but he's clearly no mug and has just as higher ceiling to be world number 1, being French, and for considerably longer. It's about trade offs. Is this lad worse than Emi last season? No. Does it reduce wages by maybe £120k a week to allow spends or savings elsewhere? Probably.
