That being the case there’s no evidence as far as we can see that he’s done anything wrong.

I should say I base this purely on what i've read about it rather than a definite fact. We'd need a Spanish speaker to know for sure what the first song is.
Ultimately if you can’t see him signing or dancing during an offensive bit of the song he’ll be in the clear regardless

I presume anyone who has been in the stadium clapping along whilst other fans has decided to sing an inappropriate song should be banned from the club too? As long as we get someone to blame, a head on a stick as they say in Succession.

I think Enzo's rightly been called out on it but I do not think this is Suarez territory is it. As has been previously posted, we are more in tune with picking up this sort of thing than a lot of other countries.

I speak a bit of Spanish but I never learned the racist insults. I'd have no call for them. Also, Argentinians are impossible to understand. They speak through their ears and nostrils.

In the second brief song there's definitely something along the lines of "national" sang which ties in with the words reported. As there's no clip of Emi we'll probably never know whether he started the song or was silent when they sang it.

Why can they all just stick with "the wheels on the bus"

If you're a racist then yes, you should be banned. And if you outwardly sing along with racist songs they should throw the book at you.

And no, not to find someone to blame, but to stamp it out, and deal with it.

Have you ever sang or clapped along to racist songs? As you imply others may have.

I hate that Fernandez anyway.  The only time he turned up was in the Cup at Villa Park.  And he has stupid irritating neck tattoo.

They'd probably have a verse about who should sit at the back.

I don’t think the song is overtly racist personally but I wouldn’t have sung it myself. Is it more about nationality than colour of skin?
For transparency I call out the Irish and Scottish rugby teams for bringing in players from South Africa and New Zealand. Does this make me racist?

Don't mean to get into witch hunts, but are you being serious?

I'm not sure how anyone wouldn't find this offensive

Then I would suggest reading up on racism.

I will say this upon spedning a bit of time in Argentina, and a major city like Buenos Aires as someone who isn't white, that it isn't particularly welcoming. I can mention several times Uber drivers would pull up and just drive away. That never happened in Rio or Sao Paolo for example. It's rare to see anyone other than white folk in the city, let alone further out. They are a little behind in their thinking which in 2024, and with so many of their best players playing across the world in multicultural teams is quite sad to be honest.
