Blimey. notice the Brazilian fan with Bepe on his shirt grabbing a police baton and then laying into an Argentinian fan ....

We should send him to face off with Brazilian riot police every week if he comes back fired up like that.  Stupendous goalkeeping.

When he’s on it and wound up like that he’s immense.

Just watching the highlights of our game and the commentator described one save by Martinez as 'saved by the world champions goalkeeper'.  Couldn't bring himself to say 'saved by the best goalkeeper in the world'.  The tosser.

Not only the best but he genuinely loves the club and wants to play for us. And at 31 he has many years in front of him. I don’t think many would begrudge him the chance to achieve everything domestically. Hopefully it with us. But I can see him at Real Madrid when he’s 35. That’s as long as we haven’t won the previous 3 Champions Leagues.

He's the same age as Courtois - unless he breaks his neck or something then he's not going to leave and they're not going to want to get rid of him.

I reckon we might just get very lucky in that most clubs* who would be a step up are pretty comfortable with their existing keepers. If they were as rare as decent centre-forwards then I imagine he'd be gone already.

*Possibly Bayern might be hanging around like a kipper sewn into a curtain lining.

I think Emi might be the McGrath of this gen. Well on the way to legend status and clearly our best player. And as much of a leader as it gets.

What a signing he has been.

Be nice if Mr Best in the World kept a clean sheet occassionally.

It would. I'll still take 2-1 victories and the couple of great saves that stop them from being 3-2 defeats, over prioritising the clean sheet though.

Well to be fair he did everything he possibly could to do that. He would likely have saved their goal, and he made some incredible saves.
