Bailey was a disgrace in that breakaway, barely got a jog on as they sprinted past him.
In the situation under discussion 2-4 was always more likely than 3-3 but I would rather that he had a go than to not trying. It is also likely that in that attack Arsenal would have still scored if Emi had been in the goal as Martinelli was “one on one”.
But Emery said no. I won't say anymore. People don't want to hear when have true info.
the gaffer is the gaffer, if he said stay back, then Emi needs to stay the fuck back.

If Emi had not stopped that shot by Muani, France would have three stars on their shirt and Emi would be known as the keeper who let Mbappe put three past him.* Maybe this wouldn't have changed anything regarding his performances or made him less likely to want Champions League rapidly but all I can say is he did not look so ace yesterday and needs to sort it out.*Obviously, Mbappe put 4 past him with his 2nd pen.

I really don’t see the problem here, if he had done it on 85 when it was 2-2 I would fully agree. But losing by a one or two goal margin is completely immaterial in our situation. It was a punt that didn’t work, but it’s a pretty common thing to do and made absolute sense in context of the match situation.

Of which only 1 had any effect on the end result. So it's once every 10 years for a goal and much less frequently for a meaningful one. This isn't a 50:50 thing or anything approaching. You might argue that he adds to the general melee or whatever, but you could equally argue those teams might've scored anyway even if the goalkeeper wasn't there. In any case, it's rare to get a goal from a corner - I can't remember the exact number but on average it's something like 3-4 goals a season on average come as a result from corners.Meanwhile, how many goals are conceeded because the goalkeeper isn't there, or more broadly because the team are panicking the moment the opposition threaten to do anything. It's not really going up for a corner I'd be bothered by, it's just that it's a symptom of a more endemic problem in the side that needs to be cut out, and if that means that we lose that literally 1:13000 (or worse) chance of scoring an equaliser then I think it's worth it.
I'm sure I read somewhere that only 4% of corners result in a goal
