I don't think any have ever played a first team game for us, but we have had perhaps one Argetine on the books in Bartlet.

I'd forgot about him and just googled him. He's 46 now.

I thought Bartelt did come on as a sub once or twice but Wiki says otherwise. Plenty of Itals and Argies wear sunglasses in all weather but I think John Gregory wasn't aware of cultural differences and the sight of Gustavo wearing them to training rubbed him up the wrong way.

My Argentinian mate is saying how Emi is the most expensive goalkeeper to come out of the country and people are a little puzzled as they've barely seen him play.

Hope we've not been star-struck just cos he's a Gooner and that he's loved there.

And she will come from India
with a gun at her side
or she will come from Argentina
with her cemetery eyes that say, "Oh, how my dark star will rise."

I like this:

"“We moved for Emi when we saw the opportunity,” Smith said, “as it is rare to be able to buy a top-class goalkeeper who hasn’t yet reached their peak age and who can therefore be a key player for our club for the long term.”

Well Emi has certainly been swayed by what we're offering.
(Fair play for sticking to Butler canon).

Argentina.
In that case we can safely assume he was Argentinian.

How could you forget Oscar Arce? Or the legendary and apocryphal back four of Aitken-Brown-Arce-Hole?
