He's absolutely bionic aswell, never injured, never stops running.

Since tge West Ham gane, he’s on fire, weve got every chance of beating anybody with him up front in this form. He will score on Wednesday

I hope so, that would give him 20 for the season.

I thought he was injured tonight. He looked in agony but somehow recovered.
The most exciting thing about Watkins right now is not his goals but how he is working with those around him. Finally the forwards are playing as an unit rather than a bunch of Sunday league players having met for the first time before the game in the pub car park.

Last 10 games hes been amazing.  As good as hes ever been for us.  The fact hes done it for 6 seasons is unreal.

He was immense, he really ran them ragged. Top notch centre forward play.

14 league goals with no penalties is level with Tiago and one behind Joćo Pedro and Semenyo in joint 3rd.

He has had a very similar season to 2022/3 when he barely had a goal under Gerrard and in Unai's early reign before hitting a mad run of form

Let's hope he has saved a couple for Wednesday.

He's looked back to his best the last few weeks and just in time as well.  Would think.a good performance and a goal or two on Wednesday night will cement him a place in the Workd Cup squad.

Now he's in form, I'll be amazed if he isn't in that squad whatever happens now. He offers something completely different to Kane.

Great of Unai to give Watkins a special mention regarding the national team. He rarely calls out individual players but tonight he put all his cards on the table in support of Watkins going to the World Cup.

For the first time, I am in full disagreement with Unai.

I would rather England kept their filthy claws off him and let him spend the summer resting up in preparation for our title challenge next season.

Indeed.
I hope the only World Cup he has is watching it on the TV.
That said it would be great to watch him pull defenders apart like he did tonight.

Barring a Kane injury, I don't think we have to worry about this summer being too exhausting for him.

In all seriousness, I do wish him well and of course he'll be part of the squad. Deservedly so because he is the second best English striker after Kane, by a country mile.
