Malen always looked better coming from the right flank than playing as our main man. Not too sure how Roma play or if he’s more central for them. I did really like a Malen and when he scored it always felt the team were really pleased for him.

I agree, but we needed an alternative up top to Ollie. I don't particularly think Tammy fits in with the system either but Emery seems pretty fair on letting players go who want to as long as our valuation is met.

I'm sure Percy had stats that while Bent scored plenty, teams did worse with him in. I'm too lazy to look it up to check though. Roma being shit is the hill i'm planting my flag on today.

I vaguely remember that. I think it was Sunderland scored more as a team the season before he joined, than in the season in which he came in and scored 20-odd goals.

I’ve watched them a couple of times and in those games he’s played as an out-and-out centre-forward on the shoulder of the last man, rarely involved in the rest of the game. I thought his best position for us was up front in a two like v Burnley at home, but unfortunately we don’t play Burnley every week and I don’t think Emery believes in two full on strikers against better teams.

Emery certainly isn’t one for two up top, shame, as he’s brilliant off the bench, especially if we’ve struggled to carve an opening. He’s too good for a squad player, but then not too many player two strikers anymore.

Double figures in the league every season now and wouldnt bet against him getting the hat trick today.

His goal scoring record for us in 6 seasons is unprecedented in the modern era.

It's quite incredible. If he stays another season I can see him getting to the 100 league goals with us

You look at the top scorers list its hardly been a vintage season for strikers. Haaland, Thiago and Semenyo the standouts, all the rest barely hitting double figures or they are goalscoring midfielders.

Indisputable that he is the second best English striker.

Definitely choosing a good time to become the league's in-form striker.
