Tammy seems to be doing the exact same at the moment though. Is his confidence shot already?

Hopefully not, snatching at things a bit I suspect as trying desperately to impress.

In saying that that touch v Man United was arguably worse than Watkins v Chelsea.

Rogers blows hot and cold like many middle ranking premier league players, if he sustained the form he showed in the autumn season in season out he’d be worth £150m.
The opposition know that all they have to do is stop Rogers as there is no goal threat from anywhere else.

Really? Are you sure about that?

There isn't much stopping of Rogers required at the moment. His touch has utterly deserted him.

I've not seen Rogers really put in a solid performance since the first half of the FA Cup game against Toon.

I don't want to lay into him too much because he always shows for the ball and always looks willing to go again, but him being off it effect the whole attack.

I don't know what else people expect from him when he's barely getting any game time.

I rarely get at Unai for his team selection. There are a host of reasons as to why he's starting/not starting a specific set of players that may have nothing to do with perceived quality on the pitch, one way or another. Having said that, the time to start Tammy was around 3 weeks ago when he'd gotten a few goals and seemed brimming with confidence.

But then again they're two strikers with completely different profiles. Tammy may well make better of the chances Ollie's fluffed, but I can't see him being pitch wise enough  to get in those same positions in the first place. He's a box target man who's great at poaching goals. We just don't play that style of football as it stands.

Which again brings us around to why buy him, and more specifically why sell someone who was scoring and proving very useful even if not starting to do so?

Can't help you there I'm afraid. Hopefully it's something Tanswell can shed light on in his post season piece.

For what it's worth, I think the clubs line on letting players go who don't want to be here 100% is tosh. Either we're really that up against it financially and needed to more or less guarantee a sale before the Summer starts, or Emery had some master plan that hasn't worked for any number of reasons.

I don't think letting him go was the wrong thing to do either way. I'm only pissed that we didn't get more for him and Tammy isn't seeing more of the pitch.
