The Liverpool and Hibs games were more like training-session practice matches so don't count /Smirk

My money is on the number of deflections that were heading for the corner flag.

He was absolutely awful today.

But then Tammy is barely touching the ball when he comes on.

Yeah. Not exactly exciting, is it? Need to spend in the position come the summer.

Ollie is having a poor season with the odd bright spot, worryingly he seems to be getting worse.

Utterly ineffective in everything he did last night.

Let's be honest, we kept him a year longer than we should have. We may get 20 million in summer for him and it will be good for him and us for him to leave in summer. Some great memories, and priceless performances at times but it couldn't last forever, and it hasn't.

Yeah and I think there’s something in that. Ollie is struggling, but the fact Tammy in his fleeting appearances is ineffective, shows we’re giving the strikers barely anything at the moment.

I think it must be bloody difficult to be effective up front when the midfield behind you is misfiring.

Watkin's lean spell of form was there in our 11 game run when the midfield was superb. It was there last season too. I agree, current midfield options aren't providing enough creativity and that won't help either Watkins or Tammy, but let's not pretend that Watkins and his missed chances stats haven't held the team back a little bit for a while.

It's not the chances for me, that's Always been the case but he was bringing so much else it balanced out, but now he's where our attacks go to die.

Also though, as this does seem to get forgotten, in the narrative that Watkins is some sort of amateur - he’s scored 8 goals this season, 7 since December. He’s struggling, but he’s not the disaster some make out.

Ollie needs to score another 10 from now till end of the season. If he does we will win something and he will be on Tuchel bus to USA.
