How about we have a whole week in which nobody reacts to one of Smirker's posts?  Let him rattle with barely suppressed rage.  I can read a thread without endless quotathons and bickering.

His first touch was abysmal all through that first half, I think that can be accepted by everybody.  He played like Ollie does and came away with a goal.  If we'd had another striker available I bet he'd have been hooked after 60 minutes and not on the pitch to score that goal.

can we do puns though ?

Only 35 players have reached 100 Premier League goals.
Really hope Ollie gets the 17 he needs to join an exclusive club.

It's not really relevant until he does though.
I know its not poplar with some but just pushing the positive.

He worked like a dog yesterday, and deserved a goal simply due to the volume he got through, but for the first hour almost everything he was involved in going forward broke down with him. Around 60 minutes onwards though, he got better and better. His shot forced the corner that resulted in the move for his goal, his run into the back post was excellent and he deserved it. During the game though, a couple of mates and I sent numerous messages expressing frustration with him. It was a microcosm of Ollie in the last 18 months really, couldn’t pass to a team mate, ball bouncing off him, shooting straight at the keeper (he seems to love to shoot directly at the keeper), but not letting his head drop, still working to get the ball, closing, pressing and fighting for the ball, resulting in him getting a goal. If Tammy can do the latter part anywhere near as well, and be sharper in general play he will get lots of minutes. As much as he frustrates me, and I firmly believe we can find a player to do what he does and score more, he is a very, very difficult player to replace.
Very much THIS!!!

Are you replying to agree not to reply to Smirker or to your favourite topic of puns?

He's only five goals off reaching 100 goals in all competitions for us.

Agreed. We could all take a leaf out of Nunkin’s book

He might score more in a Christmas tree formation.

Only 11 more and he's reached the fabled 94 mark!
Even more exciting: just 5 fewer than that and... he's cracked the magical 89!

This thread is like meeting the girl you dumped when you were seventeen. No, there's nothing wrong with you, and please don't be upset, but there are just better people out there.
Who are these better people? It would be good to hear their names, and to discuss whether or not they’re attainable.
