Unai Emery clearly does also.

Only 4 players are ahead of him in the PL top scorer rankings this season, we're 3rd in the league, our most consistently good side for nearly a century, he'll almost certainly end the season as the 10th highest goalscorer in our 152 year history.

It's moaning, it's negative and it's obsessive.

Even if this were true, are negative posts not allowed then?

Without wanting to defend Smirk's daily rate of Ollie-poasting, the most active thread right now is people grousing about Match Of The Day not being nice enough about us. Moaning even when we win is your right as a free-born Villan.

Watkins has been instrumental in our resurgence since Unai arrived. He’s not been at his best this season for whatever reason but he’s still scored some very important goals. Watching £60m Gyokeres fluff his lines again for Arsenal today just shows there are no guarantees when it comes to strikers. It’s probably why Unai wants Abraham, as he’s already had success here previously. I hope between them they can share the load and get us to where we deserve to be.

I hope Smirker one days gets tingling balls from Ollie's goals.

Watkins main issue is that he always looks to get the ball onto his right foot.

But he's a key component of the best side we've had in 25 years.

You don't know what you have until it's gone.

Newcastle's two forwards might aswell have been sitting in the stand for the level of impact that had. Ollie, even with his mahogany boots on, is still a real handful. Still forces two great saves, constant out ball for Martinez, thought he ran all over their centre backs.

I thought the last 30 minutes he was excellent, he was just what we needed to get us over the line in a tough fixture.

Speaking personally, I don't mind criticism or bemoaning the performance or stats of any given player.

But with the 'sacred cow' and 'he was great from the 88th to the 88th minute' business, that's mockery of a Villa player, as far as I'm concerned - a Villa player who never fails to give his all and has contributed a great deal to the club.

"Awful" is when he doesn't have a sniff, is anonymous, where the centre backs could lay out deck chairs and scroll their Insta feeds... and he has been like that this season at times, especially in the October-November period.

But yesterday, the Jaudi centre backs had a real working over. He came close to scoring at least twice, and then got himself on the scoresheet.

Granted, a little less wastefulness might have turned a 7 into an 8 or 9... but from there to call him "awful"... I mean, seriously?
