He probably shouldn’t have said it, but it’s post game and it’s hardly the most controversial take.

I can never understand the lower Witton End leaving in droves before the end in most games, saying that there were a few empty seats in the lower trinity from my view in the Holte, with about 10 mins to go. I must admit, I fancied a Guinness from the self serve thing in the lower Holte at half time, so i went down at 41 mins to beat the que and missed Ollies goal.
I think it was a bit flat yesterday, generally been mixed this season, some games flat, some games raucous.
Im not sure what the point in Ollie saying it is though.
I also think our slow patient style, whilst obviously hugely effective, doesn’t generate blood and thunder type excitement in the crowd.

Thing is as well it’s an interview that’s what an hour post game? There’s an element of postgame emotion and adrenaline at that point. If he’s interviewed in the middle of the week he probably doesn’t say it.

I can't see what the problem is.  He hasn't said anything I wasn't thinking during the game yesterday.

I can't disagree with this.
Unai, his coaches and our players have risen to the challenge to put us where we are currently.
Maybe our fans could do with rising to the challenge too of being top two rather than behaving like we're bottom 2, particularly the 3 sides of the ground that contribute the least to atmosphere (lower north excepted).

Agreed, not sure why it's caused a bit of a kerfuffle. If Unai's demanding of the players, it's only fair that they're demanding of the fans. 12.30 KOs are a bit shite though.

I’m not arsed about it, but I think the tone of it comes across like ‘enjoy it while you can’ which is a bit ‘unfortunate’.

He’s talking down Aston Villa and sounds a bit entitled himself. I think that’s why it jars especially after fans stuck by him during his goal drought,

Having said all that if it did stop people leaving early it will have done a bit of good! Although the late winner against Arsenal didn’t seem to have stopped them!

WTF does "behaving like we're bottom 2" mean?

I think “talking down Aston Villa” is overstating it. He’s talking in the context of 11 consecutive wins at home. I don’t think it’s outrageous to say this is an amazing time, but shouldn’t be expected as the norm. That’s not a slight on Aston Villa, pretty much no side should expect that.

WTF does "behaving like we're bottom 2" mean?

Writing us off already against Palace.

Doing the same before MU at home.

Wanting MC to win the other year to stop Spurs because people didn't think our team could qualify for the  CL regardless.

Describing the Arsenal game as a free hit.

Our fans do it all the time.

Cannot remove the final shackles of the Lambert era.

Our fans have their way of dealing with disappointment. The first is based on experience and the 2nd is to expect it coming along at some stage hence the comments as you describe. Until we actually win something the pessimism will remain. Like our style of play has taken fans acceptance a few seasons to adapt to they are not going to change the negative approach until we actually win something.

Possible that fans went much earlier into the concourse was to escape the cold, normally wait until halftime but yesterday I felt the cold, ironically it felt that less cold on exiting the ground and mentioned it to my son

Having just watched the video, my interpretation of his comments are that he's worried winning every match is becoming routine and expected. That seems to be the opposite of behaving like we're in the bottom two.

Also, Smirker, when you refer to wanting Man City to beat Spurs. If you're referring to the match which mathematically ensured our CL place a couple of seasons back, why on earth would anyone want a different outcome?
