It’s not inconsistency it’s you failing to see what an in form happy Ollie Watkins can offer an Emery side.

We all know he’s not been hitting those highs this season,

Nope, he's now proven everyone wrong and is having a brilliant season. Today changes everything. PWS said so.

Oh Smirker, I did used to think I was joking but you’re now at the point where you’re upset if he wins us a game. “One good cameo in 20 bad games”, nothing like a good bit of exaggeration.

I've never seen Smirker and The Grinch in the same room.

I mean, I've never seen Smirker or, indeed, The Grinch, at all. But don't feel that detracts from the overall point.

No I'm not upset I'm happy he scored and we won. I am responding to the idea that half a season of shite is suddenly forgotten because of an excellent 30 minute cameo.

How many good games has he actually had this season? Do you think he's had a good season? Answer truthfully.

Fucking hell he's still giving Ollie stick even after that performance.

Pointing out one good cameo doesn't erase 20 bad games because he's apparently "shut people up" and "that's why he starts" is not giving him stick.
You’ve backed yourself into this corner over many months and sometimes you know your right, and a lot of the time your wrong, but your so wedded to your position, you just don’t know how to escape this eternal debate.
Even when we win with two Ollie goals!!! I honestly think Smirker it would do you good to have a break from this particular thread. Up to you mind.

What did you think of Malen and his 6 touches of the ball and 2 successful passes in over an hour?

How can you not grasp what is required from a modern forward not named Haaland, and that even an off form Ollie is far better at it than Malen or anyone else at the club?

He was wearing a long sleeved shirt.  It made all the difference.

It's supposedly the season of goodwill. Enjoy it rather than look for negatives.

I don't think it's against the rules to respond to a post that was clearly aimed at me.

No I don’t think he’s had a good season. I’ve said that lots of times, but the difference between you and me is I think that means he’s a very good player going through a rough time and you think he’s a bad player.

If you actually look at his last 5 league games he’s got two braces and an assist, plus he’s essentially got an assist against West Ham. If you’re actually watching him he’s been coming more back to his effective self of late.

I think he’s a club legend personally.  And I’ve sometimes said wrongly he should be sold.  But we would know exactly what we miss if for example he was starting against us for Arsenal on Tuesday.
