Scored two goals, one really good one, in our last away win. Played a big role in our opening goal today - what a waster. The rush to this thread to criticise him even when we’re winning, and he’s playing an important role, is weird.

Come off it mate.

He was shit and offered nothing.

Once again we got away with it but if we get a decent striker we are potential champions.

I want more because I know how close we are to achieving something.

23 games and 3 goals and we're 3rd, 3 points off top.

Now imagine you add a striker who scores to that.

We'll be in dreamland.

If we were 3rd and he was contributing I wouldn't be criticising him but he isn't.

Just ignore him. He's sadly craving attention. Don't give it him, you'll feel better.

Barely.

And I was right to seeing as we missed out on the CL on goal difference.

You can dress it up all you like, but he’s miles off it.  It’s shite, but true.

And yet Watkins scoring record was better per minutes played that season then the one before.

It’s just nonsense. Also embarrassing that you were praising him post Brighton, which kind of lays bare your delusion.

Praising him after he actually scored. Mad ting.

Strange how we conceded more goals than any other team in top 7 but the GD is all down to the striker

😂😂😂

FWIW I agree with Smirker. Watkins has been exceptional for us, but we're beyond bad form now, and if we don't act in this position we'll pay for it.

We’re not getting a striker who scores every game. It is a “mad ting” to reverse to hate wishing within a game or so.

Our goals against was about par. Only three behind Newcastle.

However we scored 10 fewer. We simply didn't score enough goals.

Yes that's how it works. Play well you get praised. Don't play well and you get criticised.

Seems fair to me.
