Thought he played well. Big chance missed obviously but was a lot of good work from him to make the chance in the first place.

This is true! However in the last two games he has worked the centre backs superbly I thought, giving them no rest, leading the press and generally making the opposition defence look lacking in pace.

Arsenal didn’t have any centre backs! Haven’t you been paying attention to the media?
His work rate has never been in question, just the finishing. Love his attitude, wants to play every minute of every game.

Every English player with more goal involvements than Watkins in their first 200 PL appearances:

Shearer
Kane
Cole
Ferdinand
Wright
Fowler
Sheringham
Sutton
Le Tissier
Owen
Vardy

Some players with less: Rooney, Dublin, Callum Wilson, Darren Bent, Rashford, Crouch.

Did absolutely nothing again.

So glad the transfer window opens soon.

It's an article of faith at this point, especially at this time of year. The little baby Ollie was sent to miscontrol all our passes.

Not great today, and it's happened too many games this season.

A good lad, and has been great for the club, but in the business half of the season we can't carry passengers.

He’s been an amazing servant and I’ve loved watching him over the years, but he needs replacing as starting CF.  He’s been off the pace for a good while now and physicality is a big part of his game. We won’t get big bucks for him now, so maybe we keep him as an option off the bench. Seriously,  put Haaland in this team and we’d win the league this season or be mighty close.

I thought there was only really one thing to criticise him for today, which was when we had a break with a man over and plenty of passing options, including easy ones, and he got caught in two minds and turned over. Other than that, it was a workmanlike away striker’s performance. Not brilliant, but not consistent with being slagged off, I don’t think.

That's entirely true for a striker well on their way to scoring 20 for the season.

Ollie was good today and entirely responsible for the first equaliser. He should get that goal added to his count.

We're third in the table after 9 consecutive wins. Watkins is partly responsible for that. Enjoy it, if you can, I know some of us can't.

He looks like he’s carrying an injury and plays like it as his pace is almost nonexistent. He still offers us something up top mind. At one moment of play he tried to push on and it just wasn’t there.

Scored two goals, one really good one, in our last away win. Played a big role in our opening goal today - what a waster. The rush to this thread to criticise him even when we’re winning, and he’s playing an important role, is weird.

Yes, we're an Ollie Watkins with a football club attached.
