Sorry guys.

The commentary team on the radio were full of praise for him today, said he played well. I was only listening so I can’t back it up personally.

Even with him taking on three defenders and forcing a good save out of Raya whilst under pressure?

He did well, certainly better than Malen did.

Yes.

Kept losing the ball, looked sluggish, should have done better with the chances he had. I know what one you are talking about and I said in the match thread he did well to make the space to get the shot off but that was all he did really.

He was unlucky with the chance, bullied three defenders away and just had to get the shot in, but Raya is a good keeper. His hold-up play was hit and miss afterwards. Neither good nor particularly bad overall, IMO.

Well he scored two goals against a good side in midweek.

You're worse than me banging on about Monchi all summer.

What have I said now? I don't think he had a good game, I want him to have a good game next game.

I thought he was mixed, gave their backline something to think about, touch let him down sometimes, but also made Reya save one in the second half, that a couple of games ago he wouldnt of gone his shot off. He was decent.

He did brilliantly to take on and beat the defenders but his shot was straight at the keeper who never had to move his feet.
Anyway, bollocks to beating up Watkins, there are far more important, exciting and positive things to discuss and celebrate.

He was fine, played a role. Not amazing, but not bad either.

The important thing is that we have Watkins, who runs the line so well and gives CB a lot to think about; and then we bring Malen on, whose talent lies in his quick feet and willingness to shoot. They're different players.
At the moment, this combo is working, even if Watkins isn't scoring many. I'd love to see someone like Ekitike come in - obviously, we probably won't get him but a similar player - who seems to combine a bit of both.
