Had a good game and took his goals well, especially the second one.

This has to be the springboard for him to kick on for the rest of the season.

Keep it up Ollie  8)

I always want Villa players to do well - when they are such a decent fella as Ollie doubly so

I wish every player had the commitment of Watkins. Never hides, never gives less than 100%. Top person and player.

Destroyed them. When he missed that chance early on, no conviction in the shot really, you just wondered if it could be one of those nights again. But a nice scrappy first one and second was quality. Too strong for the Brighton defence. Movement was excellent. Makes Malen's goal. Defended really well too. Motm

That second goal tonight was an excellent, technically very difficult finish.  On the replay you could see the bouncing ball was still on the way up, but he hit it down into the grass as he didn't have time to let it come down again. Very difficult to do, and easy to mess up.  Sometimes he gets stick for the technical side of his game, but credit where it's due, that finish was superb.

Scored 9 times against Brighton. Hopefully he is starting his run of goals just as we play the next team he likes scoring against, Arsenal.

When he missed those two sitters early on I thought that was it but he never gave up. Credit where it's due, he ran himself into the ground and fully deserved his goals. Now we just need Unai to sing his praises before every game and we'll win the league. It certainly did the trick tonight.

How many has he now scored against Brighton? Must be his favourite team.
