Does anyone really believe that Tuchel and Unai are lying?
It's either that or, if he has an injury, it can't be that serious. As he's pretty much being carried at the moment, give him the rest he apparently needs.

They're probably telling the truth, but it could be anything really. It could be that he's delicate and they recognise that; perhaps there's a holistic approach to his psychology between club and country; he's maybe got a move lined up for 1st January. We don't know. But he's probably just got a knock, as his managers have said.

Does anyone really believe that Tuchel and Unai are lying?

Managers have done it before for numerous reasons.

He's being protected.

Yeah first thing I ever think of with Unai is that he's a liar.

Yeah first thing I ever think of with Unai is that he's a liar.

Such emotive language.

He has the right intentions. To protect the player.

Do you think he deliberately went into the season knowing we have one striker, an injured one at that? You think he's that stupid? And then to continue playing him knowing he needs resting?

It would take a high level of delusion to believe all that.

I don't go through life thinking 2 of the top managers tell lies to protect Ollie Watkins.

Right so you believe Unai is just stupid then.

I believe we didn't have the money to sign the players we wanted to.

We spent on Guessand?

Also doesn't explain why Unai has said Watkins needs a rest yet continues to play him. It's not as if he's scoring goals and can't be dropped.

It's almost as though the summer transfer window was a disaster.

It's almost as though the summer transfer window was a disaster.

You've dodged the second bit. Unai must just be stupid to deliberately keep playing him when he's injured and having stinkers.

Can't wait to see the defences of him and his pre-pre-assist numbers after another disasterclass.
