He was crap today. Getting in before Smirker.

He’s not getting a sniff. We’re just not creating many easy chances. But I don’t think he did anything right today.

Think that’s a bit harsh - he still worked hard, won some hopefully long balls, and dragged Konate about. You’ve hit on the main point though, and I’ve said it in other threads, we’re not creating hardly any presentable chances in the area. All our goals pretty much are outside the box. We need to sort that.

Yep, he is getting no service and when we get in good positions we rush the final pass, under or over hit it.

He's not getting there though. Just half a yard short. It's often the run that makes the pass. Ollie to be fair is still working hard and put in a great shift v Man City but a goal threat - I'm not sure.

Let's face it, until January we are relying on midfielders to score.

What makes you think we may have any funds available in Jan? Surely we’re going to be stung still by PSR?

Really starting to look like he needs dropping or an extended run alongside Malen. That system against Burnley looked fluid but we haven't played it since.

He was very good against Citeh. Stretched their defence. But he has lost his confidence. Brilliant for us over the last few seasons. But do we need to look at the likes of  Ivan Toney to get us goals. Would love to see Ollie find his mojo again, but its getting late into the season.

I'd try the two of them up front again during the week v the genocide cheerleaders.

Yeah but without wishing to over simplify that was against Burnley at home. You can be pretty carefree there, but there’s very few other games like that.

The two up front is right now the only way I can see him scoring again. Despite his effort and desperation, He needs help and with Malen things happen. Malen said himself yesterday how they have a good understanding, it can only be Unai who doesn't see the problem. Obviously it would also help to have wing backs which is why Unai still has two ineffective players out wide.

If Watkins has dreams of going to the World Cup he needs to get back in with the goals. For that to happen something needs to change.

Malen was more of a threat and got a shot off when he came on.

Watkins shouldn't be playing any games now.

How long does it have to go on before he's dropped? 1 in 14 is pathetic.
