Ran about a bit, but no goal.

1 in 13 for this season now.

Need to look for a replacement in January, maybe even two. We can't go the whole season with this striker as our only option and expect to achieve anything.

TEN minutes after the final whistle? You're slipping, poor show.

And it's taken me TWELVE minutes to reply moaning about it.

What an absolute shambles, day ruined.

He’s world class aside from finishing.

Imagine beating Citeh at home and rushing on here to moan about Ollie, who was very good.

Like having a goalkeeper who is world class apart from making saves.

That’s really sad that there is any need to point to negatives after a massive win. It’s beyond an unhealthy obsession now. Creepy almost.

No it isn't.

The negative is he still hasn't scored.

There are no rules saying after a good result you are only allowed to make positive posts.

He's our only striker and has 1 goal in 13. It should be a massive concern. We are not going to get anywhere with him up front if he doesn't start scoring goals no matter how much he runs around or how 'well' you think he played.

Like it or not we were hanging on at the end and could very easily have dropped points, the defence cannot do that every game. Someone needs to put the ball in the net. With a quarter of the season gone we are averaging 1 goal a game. That is a worry.

The thing is the bit at the end where we were hanging on a little came about when Watkins went off and lost the work he was doing to protect us from the front. The reason so many people are fed up with you is that regardless of the result or performance the first thing you do if he hasn't scored is come on here and gloat as if the best part of your day has been seeing Watkins go without a goal again, it's just fucking weird.

It only sounds like gloating to you because I'm one of a very small number of posters who will actually criticise him and not kiss his arse for doing the bare minimum of running around.

You're happy to pin our hopes on a striker who has scored 18 in his last 71 games? OK 😂

No it sounds like gloating because that's exactly what it is and you can fuck off with the 'kiss his arse' bullshit as well because literally no one does that. It's just that most of us can think a bit deeper than striker = goals.

I’m happy to not be overly critical of one of our players because of a weird little obsession after a brilliant win. Mainly because I like a bit of joy in life and I’ve no interest in trying to prove how right I am to strangers on the internet.
