At least Watkins can point to 5 years service unlike one hit wonder Rogers.

I wonder what’s a worse day for you Smirker, Villa failing to win and Ollie not scoring, or Villa winning but Ollie getting a goal.

Well, we're well into the hypotheticals here. Twice.

Now when Ollie gets the ball i sigh and think, I remember the days when Ollie would score from this.

When our forward play improves, or actually when we start to play with and forward intent, will be when I question Ollie if he’s not scoring. At the moment we’re so bad. We either play it long or just pass slowly through the pitch. Ollie has no chance at all in this version of Villa.

Something ain’t right with the way we’re playing.

He had a very good chance today.

First one all season in the 93rd minute of the 5th league match and he was as much in shock as the rest of the players and all the fans that a good ball had been played.

There are hundreds of thousands of reasons per week why he needs to be the only one not in shock.

Mate its time to just accept he isn't good enough. He hasn't been good enough for a long time and he's stinking the pitch up every game he plays.

& Villa failing to win is always worse.

Well no, I suppose he’s not good enough in the same sense every single player and the manager aren’t good enough. Looking backwards you’re factually wrong about him not being good enough, and looking forward everyone is rubbish at the moment so drawing a conclusion on one player is daft.

On reflection, you're right. Another 10/10 MOTM performance for our off the ball hero!

He was shit last season too.

He's had one good season out of five (soon to be six) for goalscoring.

That was OK when we were bottom half and midtable. It isn't good enough now.

He's been poor this season. That's no reason to revise history and try to pretend he has been bad for "a long time" as Smirker likes to do. He was easily one of the best strikers in the league in the previous two and a half seasons, and more good than bad before that.

I do worry what other options we have with Malen having timed his worst form since joining us to coincide with Watkins'. Can Guessand play centre-forward?

Again, factually incorrect. I also don’t know why you can’t understand what a player does in totality is what matters. Would you say a midfielder was hopeless if he scored 15 a season alongside 15 assists instead of getting 30 assists?
