Watkins has performed consistently for many, many years and it’s what we value him at, not the ‘big 6 sycophants’

This reminds me of the Barry nonsense with Liverpool about 15 years ago. We told them the price they shilly-shallied with some player plus cash nonsense and then C115y just paid the fee. The more you step back from this it makes zero sense for us unless it was such a ludicrously big offer that it couldn’t be refused.

We’d have to replace him, which would cost a lot anyway - the chances that replacement brings as much to the team as he does, certainly short-term, is remote.

If they genuinely think £40m is realistic they are delusional, try £90m odd and it’s a conversation.
